Okay, God, this is brilliant. I laughed when I saw the pairing, then was just kind of slack-jawed, and then laughed again at the ending, because: "“You would like it there, I think. There is space, much space. You can go for days without seeing a single person. And it is warm, excellent weather for those silly dresses. You could help with the goats; we could build you up strong and put some colour into your skin. Let’s go - away from England.”"

I mean, honestly. What is your secret?! Where do you get these things from and make them work?

PS: Have you listened to anything that isn't Kitsune Maison 8 in the past, oh, since you signed up for LJ? LOL :)

Oh man, I struggled with this - note to self: sometimes when things haven't already been written there is a reason, ie. it is hard - so I'm really pleased you think it works, despite it being a little out there, as there's bits of it that I'm still not so happy with.

PS. For your information that's not on KM8, so yes :)

I think your Thomas voice is what made the rest of it work, honestly; once that felt right, I could buy into the rest of the story without issue. So excellent narration.

[And oh snap--I got confused, as I've not listened to much beyond a compilation that has Ou Est Le Swimming Pool on it. So much for my joke!]

Honestly, I'm so relieved that you think it's right! I know it's a bit off the track, so thanks for giving it a go!

The fact that you've pulled this off with such aplomb leaves me a little bit speechless, actually. Pretty goddamn special. Hope you don't mind me friending you to keep up with other works of genuis.

Oh wow, speechless is right. I never would've even imagined this, but what a beautiful story -- the narration was so well done. :)

I was pretty sceptical, to be completely honest. I didn't think it would work, but, WOW. It's pretty awesome how it just seemed to fall together so naturally, and remained in character as well. Amazing skill. You have quite the knack for unconventional pairings. :)

Thanks for giving it a go, despite being skeptical - trust me, I was the same when I was writing parts of it! I'm chuffed you think it was natural, getting Effy to do what I wanted her to was a bit of a challenge! Cheers, dude :)
