Okay, I'm really ill so this might not be the most well-written of comments but I fucking loved this.

You get that brilliant blend of sad/happy, of hope/desperation and it just feels like them - like all of them.

Loved the whole snow/Effy/Freddie bit - about how she knew that she'd ruin it if she got close. That is such a brilliant analogy and a great way of describing Effy.

And I really like Naomi talking to Thomas - like if you think about it, if the whole Sophia situation hadn't happened then Thomas wouldn't have been expelled etc so there's a lot she could feel guilty for. So it sort of felt like closure.

All your Katie dialogue feels like a hug around my heart. Lovely.

Yeah, I think Thomas could have easily pulled other people down with him, or used them to save himself in that situation, and I think Naomi would get that she owes him one for saving her ass.

I am just... blah, wordless... it was incredible and amazing! Best Christmas and/or Gen 2 reunion fic I've read in a while, Karen/Cook AND Tony/Katie and you got everyone's characters down to a T.
