*Sigh.* Aw man. You know I love this story. I really do. How many times have I read these sections and they still NEVER get old.

Your characterization is spot on, the mystery completely intriguing, the fleshing out of minor characters--perfect, and the description of Logan's pain (and Keith's, of course) completely moving.

I've said it before about your work, but I'll say it again: It rocks.

Seriously.

I can't wait for the rest!

It means a lot coming from you, it really does. Seriously, you give the best feedback, and it was invaluable when I first sent this chapter to you. The fact that you read it and enjoyed it and saw beyond the evils of killing Veronica and told me to go ahead was just so important, I can't even describe how much. Thank you, a million times over, for all your kind words. You are the best kind of LJ friend.

I thought I'd already responded to this, but no. earth2mars August 11 2007, 02:20:10 UTC
" saw beyond the evils of killing Veronica "
Of course, ONE day I'd like to challenge you to write something just a little fluffy and less angsty. ;)

You deserve each and every kind word--thank you for allowing me to read the story and for writing it so well.

I don't know if you'll be happy/scared to find that this month's challenge over at vm_library has really sparked my interest. And even if what I can already envision isn't totally fluffy, the ending at least isn't utterly tragic.

Sigh. This is painful. And dark (yes, I've been warned). :) And beautifully written. And who am I kidding? I'm going to read this to the bitter end! What kills me is that an outcome such as this is so utterly possible, given Veronica's tendency to blindly charge into danger. This is not a fun read, but it's a powerful one. And you need to update soon, because as much as it hurts, I now ache to know where it's going.

It's been weird writing this. At least with some of my other stuff, it started light and ended dark, or started dark and ended light, with the key being the light it contained in there somewhere. In this one, I'm not sure where (or if) that light will be. So yeah, I know! I'm really not just a sick and twisted author who killed Veronica. And yeah, a lot of it was inspired by her blind need to rush into danger. Eventually, it will catch up with her, we just won't see it onscreen now.

In some ways this story is less painful because Veronica is dead. That way I know there's no hope for LV and I won't be wishing for it. The idea that Logan is arrested for her murder is so believable. Your description of Logan's and Keith's pain are very sharp and clear. Thanks for a wonderful story. Can't wait for the rest.

I have most of this fic written, and all of it at least outlined in great detail. The hardest thing for me is telling myself that she is dead, for at times I'd get on a real roll and turn out pages and pages and be completely elated before realizing that unlike my other dark fics, there could be no happy L/V ending no matter what I tried. So on one hand, I'm prepared from the beginning not to have it, but at the same time, I'm like, 'Elle, what are you doing?'

Thanks for reading!

This is fantastic. I really enjoyed it.

I lap up dark and twisty!

Nice work.

Awesome, since all I seem to write is dark and twisty!
