Uh...you need to watch out for roost, it's an attack that heals his pokemon during battle. But yeah, mostly it has to do with levels and type advantage. If your pokemon have a high enough level, they'll be able to win.

That's kind of the problem. If it's gonna fight, shouldn't it be more... intimidating?

[ Mareep shies timidly away as Shiki approaches, but then settles down a little as the girl begins to pet its fluffy wool. ... it's obviously still not entirely sure about Neku and his hyperactive puppy, but... ah, a nice trainer who gives it pets and attention. u///u ]
