First, a note on the weekend: it was wonderful. It was fantastic. It was amazing. I want to go white water rafting every weekends. Bring on more class IV rapids. Hell, I think I'd even brave a class V! I have about 3248709325732975 new pictures that are all amazing. Good luck on the drive back home! At least you get to avoid all those pesky mountains on the trip.

The no AC thing can be a bit of a pain. When I lived in houston, as I was driving a classic car (a 71 mercury), I did not have AC. I did eventually get used to it though

As for the stick thing, if he can get you up and running on the interstates, well, all you'll need to be in is 5th gear anyways. :)

I imagine we will get used to it. It's been pretty hot and humid in Calgary the last week or so and while driving in his car isn't PLEASANT it's not unlivable either, you know?

$700 is ridiculous. "We're US Airways. Charging airfare for twice the amount of the original booking - one way - makes plenty of sense to us! Will that be cash or credit?"
