Find a way to live

So, elvenlaughter wins at being able to write coherently about things, so, I'm going to attempt to follow her example.

She started talking about romance, and that prompted me to think about dating and relationships and being a single 26 year old. This is what I came up with:

You know, that boy wanted to share his life with you... )

philosophical type stuff, musings, rants, women

You sound generally satisfied with being single. But I would caution you that some of it seems like self-justification. Lord knows the club scene isn't mine, but something like no-suitable-clothes is a bit of a stretch. If you work in an office you've got a shirt and you've prob got a pair of jeans. Maybe not haute couture but suitable.

I think it's prob best to keep an open mind, at least that's what I try to do, and if in the future you find yourself wanting a relationship but still not knowing single women, you could always find a new activity that they're more likely to attend.

I'd say about 90% of this is self-justification. Especially given that I basically wrote it in response to a mental conversation with myself that started basically as follows:

"I'm not going out on Saturday night."

"Why not?"

And this is the answer, more or less.

The clothing thing is most definitely a stretch.I have a few scattered articles of clothing that could be used to present an acceptable ensemble if I sat down to think about it. But, when I write stuff like this, I tend to be very glib, as evidenced by the rants on make-up and heels.

The comments by people have certainly tempered my feelings. I suppose I haven't exactly written off relationships permanently. But I am happy more than 95% of the time, so I take that as my indication. If I start to lose that, then it's time to change life in general, not just in regards to a relationship. I'd like to think that one follows from the other.
