i think this fits better than the easy forgiveness in canon. it shows that gwen was hurt and shows a realistic reaction to the pain that arthur caused.

I hope it showed that definitely. I have no issue with the forgiveness. She's a very forgiving soul, not petty at all. But I would have liked to have seen a little more conflict or conversation or something. If they would communicate about what troubles them more I think Morgana's deceit with Lancelot might have not been so easy. Or I hope.

Thanks so much for commenting!

Wow! I just love this so much! I really love how you have extended parts that happened in 4x05 and I love how you have added some more of Arthur doubting himself and Gwen being uncertain about her future with Arthur and sensing Arthur's uncertainties with ruling and see how much his uncle is affecting him. I think its clear that Arthur is at a crossroads with everything. It's hard being King from being a Prince and you have shown that well.

Can't wait for the next part!

Oh yay!! I was so excited to see this and I'm sorry for responding so late. I've been trying to get the update ready and working on my BB. It was such a crucial episode of Arthur's doubt in himself because if he didn't feel that way he wouldn't have let Agravaine push him to do all the things he regretted. And after today's episode, he's still yet to know who to trust and how to be confident enough to be king. And I think that's okay. Arthur has never been perfect. I never want him to be.

Gwen, the love is never questioned from Arthur, but when he broke up with her in this ep, I was like whoa, and then they make up at the end, I was again like whoa. Happy, but for me an element missing. And that's why I wanted to write this. Oh and I missed Elyan's voice. It would have been nice to see some of his reaction to all this.

Thanks so much. I'm so glad you're enjoying this. The update's coming in minutes. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I really like the start of this. I'm one of the viewers that was really upset with this break-up in a lot of ways more upset with this than the banishment, because even though it was a small thing it was huge in what it could imply about Arthur's thoughts about Gwen. Even though it was small it could affect her on so many levels not to mention what it implies about how Arthur sees the people he has chosen to surround himself with and how he views himself as king. Like I said you're off to a good start, looking forward to the rest.

Bingo. That's me. This breakup for some reason got more angry emotion out of me than the other. I felt the banishment, they both were suffering. This, he knew exactly what he was doing and he still did it. I understand he's a lot of pressure etc., but I would have liked to see more followup to this. A little bit more of her reaction would have been beautiful. I know the show has to get a lot done in a short amount of time. And I enjoyed this episode mostly, but this was the missing piece for me, that everything was all roses at the end with no real discussion or fallout.

Thanks for commenting, more to come very soon!
