New chapter, and new icon. *Yay* I spent my entire sunday writing this fic! I really like how it's turning out, and I hope you all like it too. This chapter explains more of the story so it helps set things for the next chapter. hope you enjoy

This is making me all fuzzy inside and sad at the same time because the flashbacks are so well-done and cute, but they're just flashbacks and Al's "dead". I love how Ed interacted with Winry in this chapter, and a concerned Hawkeye is awesome. Hooray for the upcoming excitement!! I can't wait! Very good job with this chapter!

I really like the flashbacks too, I think it's important for the story. Since this story is years after Al gets his body back, and so much has changed, it would be dumb of me to leave out all those missing years. I tried to make Ed act as affectionate with Winry as possible, without making it seem as if there's a love interest there.

I can't wait to post the next chapter once I'm finished! Thanks for reading! ;)

I thought the same thing about this chapter, (I mean about how some don't like chapters like it) Because it isn't a very exciting chaper. I does have some intruiging parts but other than that your right. It just sets up the next few chapters.

Love it. I think it's nice that you've included Drachma and the other countries in this fic--we only get a hint of it in the anime and manga vol.8 gives us some more info, but I like that you've included this! It gives your story depth and I can tell you spent a lot of time on it. Good job!

Thank you! I noticed that in my first fic I left out alot of info about Amestries and other things in the Fullmetal Alchemist world. So for my next fic I wanted to include those factors, to make it feel more like the anime. And that's where this fic came from! I actually did use the Manga Vol.8 book to help me understand the boarders.*Blush*

Hmm...well, the background info is definitely helpful; I liked finding out how Al became a State Alchemist, and why Ed can't resign from the military just yet. And considering that Al is "dead", having flashbacks helps with my Elricest obsession...nice of Ed to linger over those moments, and cruel of him to hint at it and then not deliver! Erm...but anywho, I forgot to mention that I like that Hawkeye's Ed's commanding officer now (makes for a change in pace; plus, she doesn't make any short jokes about Ed.) Wonder if Ed even sees Mustang much anymore...but most likely, Ed's depression would just make Roy depressed as well, especially if Ed won't respond to short jokes (which my guess he would just ignore now.) Anyway, tres interesting so far! Cannot wait for more!

Thanks! I really felt like the background info and the flashbacks needed to be incorporated. It would'nt be an Elricest fic if Al wasn't there! I really thought Hawkeye had to be Ed's new commander too, it gives the feel that it really has been years since the anime ended. I do plan on having mustang make an appearance, but I'm not sure when or where. And about how Ed responds to the short jokes, I actually plan to show how he reacts in upcomming chapters. So keep reading! ;)
