Come On, Minnesota, Let's Fix This

As much as it's awful that my home state is trying to put a same-sex marriage ban amendment vote on the 2012 ballot, I'm happy that there are some voices of reason who are speaking out against this nonsense and bigotry. People like this man. He's so eloquent and so polite while making wonderful points. He makes me proud to be a Minnesotan.

While I wholeheartedly agree that I don't like the Nature vs Nurture debate, it is one of the tenants that opponents use. I.E. it's something learned, raise your kids better so they don't grow up to be the homogay. I've definitely heard that argument before. And I think that by saying that it's 'nature' he was able to bring forth the argument that he did to try and convince those that if God doesn't make mistakes, then why would this be happening. Again, that's just the argument he's making to those who would believe such a thing. So I don't like it either, but I see why he did it.

And yeah, a few generations down the line that would be a dark stain on our state's history.
