Deck the halls

Well, not so much the halls. Ever since moving into our house, we've gotten our Christmas tree from this place just down the road. They have reasonable prices (at least, I assume they do since we don't actually shop around) and they deliver and setup. That used to be free, but now it is $5. I think it more depends on whether you see shopping for the tree as an activity or a chore. Activities you participate in, chores you try and complete.

I'm confused as to why you'd buy a tree now and not have them deliver it until later though. I can't believe they'd take as good care of it as y'all would have, even if it was just sticking it in a bucket in the garage filled with the odd mix of water, bleach, kayro syrup and borax that's supposed to help with the fireproofing...

From what I've read, it is the warmth that makes the tree die faster. We don't want to leave it outside, and there's no room in the garage. So we'll let them keep it outside (or in their unheated metal shed) for a week and a half or so. 'sides, even if there is no difference, our family room isn't ready to sprout a tree yet.
