oh wow! I have to tell you, I'm having the opposite problem-completely. I graduated with a BA in Communications/Political Science in 2003. Somehow, 10 years went by while I was working and thinking about whether I would do my master's. Well, I'm turning 35 this year, and having (only) a BA is just a waste of a life! lol ( ... )

thanks muchly for your comment, bb. your advice is sound and appreciate it <3 best of luck going back to school for your degree! I definitely think a Master's is a worthwhile degree to have. Am not sure I would recommend anyone go for a PhD in this job market, but that could be the burnout talking.

I don't know what kind of PhD I would even get for non-profit work! I think a master's is more than enough for me. I can't really see myself teaching (since I'm painfully shy). :P All the best in your decision-making process! <333

I wish I had clear advice for you. I should, having been down that exact road myself and continued to weigh it in my mind for years after. You have indeed identified the problems exactly (so, hey, you do have a deliberative mind). I will think more about it and see what my brain can dig up. (hug)
