Snowed here for a bit, but now it stopped. We have a real feel temp of 20˚. Brrrrr! Stay warm and safe!

It's pretty light now, expecting more in a couple of hours. The grocery store was a madhouse--as though it were a major storm which it isn't!

The deli counter at Stop n Shop was crazy, but the rest of the store wasn't too bad. I used to go to the food stores to people watch....women with 2 over flowing shopping carts, shopping like it's the end of the world when there's a prediction of snow.

The ridiculous thing was their carts were loaded with tons of perishables. DUH, power goes out during a major storm, doesn't it? No common sense.

I'd say so far we have a couple of inches here, but not it's getting very icy!

Stay snuggly and safe!

32 F, snow mixed with sleet. Freezing rain expected to join the party later this afternoon.

We're getting freezing rain overnight. All three cats have staked their personal heat vents :)

We - predictably - have rain.

Today is more annoyance than real storm. We're getting into the boring part of winter, too cold for comfort, days still too short and no more holiday lights... I may have to start celebrating Chinese New Year. Year of the Rat, it seems appropriate ;)

Rats get a bad press, but they're survivors and clever.

They are indeed. This is one of the charities that I contribute to, Hero Rats (not joking, they do great work)

Snow began to fall at noon [almost like clockwork], stopped for a bit, now it's coming down again. Don't think we'll get more than 3 inches though.

I don't expect much more than that here either. Lots of action at the bird feeder and the (heated) water bowl which is fun to watch.

It's cold* and clear now. Your snow is LOVELY. Especially if you don't have to be anywhere and are nice and snug inside with, maybe, a cup of cocoa or tea and a good book ...

I should add I mean SoCal cold. It's about 50.

We have a wood-burning fireplace which is happily lit right now, plenty of snacks, something a little stronger than tea to drink, and no particular place to go. Not a bad Saturday night :)
