I wish I was there so I could cook you a very warming meal for your return.

If you were here, I would have taken yo with me! Actually we had pretty good weather today, it went up to 10C. And we had Vietnamese food in the city before driving home :)

Absolutely huge crowd, energized and peaceful. Chuck Schumer, one of the NY Senators showed up at the finish line just as we got there--the whole crowd was shouting "don't give in" at him. We had to stop about a block from Trump Tower, they wouldn't let us get any closer than that. For good reason probably.

Day one of the Resistance.

I feel it only fair to tell you that my own Government is acting like they KNOW the Russian Asset stories are true btw, like it's not even "precautionary measures just in case" sort of a thing. It's like they already know for sure.

It seems to be a pretty standard belief among foreign policy wonks here as well. He's got so much debt and so much shady biz in his background that there's no way he hasn't been financed to some extent by laundered russian $

It was great. Huge crowd, good energy, everyone determined to resist the Trump debacle. Of course it won't be that hard in NY, we have to make sure we support to the people that need us in red states too.

I'm encouraged by the turnout all over the country; we have to keep it going though.

:) Lucky to have decent weather, huuuge crowd in NY and all over the country. Washington DC crowd was larger than that for yesterday's inauguration. Apparently Trump had a meltdown over his crowd numbers today!

I hope the energy is something we can keep up, it's the first time since the election that I've felt optimistic. There really are more of us than there are of them.

Yeah, now he's trying to claim he had a million and a half people there.... that he could SEE from the inauguration stand. And that the protester numbers are hugely overestimated.

Next thing you know he's going to try to claim photos of the protesters are inaug. photos (although he'd have to have a lot of pink photoshopped out--but we already know he's got expert photoshoppers on staff).

He's so psychologically damaged. That this is what he's obsessing about on his first day in office...

It looks like the visit to the CIA didn't go well either, he couldn't keep himself from lying--though I assume at this point that fantasy and reality have no real meaning for him, he just needs to protect his ego no matter what.

Over 400,000 people in NY. We did good :)
