I'd be proud to live somewhere that Gong Li chose to make home. Has she lived there for a while?

I still think that when she does English-language roles she's unintelligible, but she's so megastar it doesn't matter. XD

Oh, beneath the sarcasm, I'm pleased. I love her - one of the few Asian stars that would get me into a cinema no questions asked. (I suffered through Miami Vice for her, I did.) She's married to a Singaporean and has been for quite a few years now, so I guess she MUST have a pad here. But I've no idea!

NO ENGLISH ROLES. I'm dreading the day when more of Zhang Ziyi's "English" roles see the light of day. Can we say AIEEEE.

Oh, I liked Miami Vice, but I couldn't understand a word she said in that movie. Or Memoirs of a Geisha (which I hated for many other reasons as well). Love her, love Zhang Ziyi, but they need to avoid the English-language roles. sry.

Hee, I love how we're expected to get all proud of our country because of the foreign talent we export. Like our Olympic silver medal. Yes. They were trained by the CHINESE OLYMPIC COACHES. WHATEVER.

Still. Gong Li is gorgeous and I heart her. So I'll take her as a citizen any day. ;)
