Okay, hi. This might be slightly weird, but... I sort of found this entry through a Meryl Google Alert, and so I came over to check it out and I was like, "Hey, I kind of know her somehow". So I checked out your profile and stuff and we have a lot of similar interests (Meryl, House/Cuddy, Pushing Daisies, Broadway, 9 to 5, etc) and some friends who can vouch for the fact that I'm not a crazy stalker (Kel, Lissie, Gemma, etc). HI. Okay, this might be slightly weird as well, but I don't really get freaked out when people discover my LJ through Google alerts. Quite a few of my friends discovered me through Google alerts. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THIS SAYS ABOUT ME... Aside that I'm ridiculously enormously flaily, I suppose, and that I set off people's Google alerts ALL THE TIME? ;)

So don't worry, I'm NOT freaked out - what I actually am is downright SURPRISED that we share so many interests and yet have never really crossed paths. (Though I'm pretty sure I've seen you around Lissie's journal in comments and stuff.)

SHARED MERYL LOVE IS A GOOD A REASON AS ANY, Y/Y? I've been in love/awe with this woman for the better part of my life, I'd say - since I was a kid and OMG I EVEN LOVE HER IN SHE-DEVIL. That is SAYING A LOT. ;) But Mamma Mia has really set my Meryl love off again... mostly, I think, because she sings in it and SINGS SO FRIGGIN' AMAZINGLY WELL. Flailing about Meryl could never, EVER be wrong.

SHARED MERYL LOVE IS DEFINITELY A GOOD REASON!! AND SHE-DEVIL! LOL! I just watched that the other day! And yeah... I loved her in it, even if the movie was... yeah. But oh my god, at the end, when she gives the camera the finger while pushing up her glasses. I about died of awesome!

But oh my god, Mamma Mia. There are no words! She seriously is just amazing in that movie! jafjdlkaghlkagh! And Christine Baranski is in it and Julie Walters and Amanda and Pierce (who I love even though he can't sing) and Colin and... just basically the best casting ever!

And no, flailing about Meryl could never, ever be wrong! I just did a Streep Spam post over on my journal actually!

The movie was weird, wasn't it?! Meryl and Roseanne Barr?! WTF! But but but! An old-school comedy she did before people STOPPED giving her funny roles that was AWESOME? Death Becomes Her! Also! You've seen Meryl singing in Postcards From the Edge, right? BECAUSE THAT IS THE MOST CRACKTASTIC THING TO EVER BE CRACKTASTIC.

Mamma Mia. I CAN NEVER. FLAIL. ABOUT THIS. ENOUGH. As is proven by my recent icon batch of EPIC FAIL FLAIL, LOL. I'm obsessed with it. And the cast. *weeps* SO AMAZING.
