1. I had NO IDEA how frickin' tired I've been over the past week - apparently sleeping 3-4 hours a night while still trying to be a semi-functioning human being at work isn't a good idea - until I got home early this morning. I ended up going straight to bed at 4 in the morning or so, and waking up about 13 and a half hours later. At 5.30pm. WTF.

it clearly had decided it didn't care about having a plot or being in any way logical
... ahahahaha. I've decided that I wasn't going to see this movie (haaaaaaate that they replaced Rachel Weisz, ugh) but I just might because it seems fun. ;) And I share your inexplicable love for Brendan Fraser! Seriously, I loved him the first time I saw him in anything, and always enjoy his movies no matter how ridiculous they are.
XF2 faaaaiiiiiil. Getting over that though, because so many great things have been happening lately. YAY EDEN! And other pretty good RL stuff too so yay. :D Have a good day (LOL), hon!

Oh, the replacement of Rachel Weisz did not work out too well. I love Maria Bello in her indie roles and stuff, but somehow she didn't seem to be quite at home in this movie. Because it was so RIDCULOUS and she always seemed so... put-together. Brendan is AWESOME though. Am most glad that I am not the only one who has a strange crush on him and his weirdly cute cuteness. ;)
Urgh, I forgot about XF2 FAIL for you. :(:(
BUT OMG, EDEN. It's all good because of that TMOLM, no??

EDEN! AND TRACIE! It's crazy, and crazy HOT. Those women, geez.
PS. Way to cheer me up with your icon! :D Gilliaaaan. ♥

Still. I agree on Rachel. I love her more the more things I see her in, like OMG Definitely Maybe. ♥ LOVE.
YOU NEED MOAR ICONS, LOL. Have some Julia to cheer you up too. :D

I didn't even criticise Luke Ford's Chinese, because he has an excuse. Michelle Yeoh's native language ought to be Chinese, really, but I suspect she didn't go to school in Malaysia... or not long enough for that to have made an impact. Her Chinese is awful.
Reply
Yeoh learned English and Malay before Cantonese, and cannot read Chinese characters. As she does not speak Mandarin, she learned the lines for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon phonetically.
It also says she went to school (and uni) in England from the age of 15.

Not that I should be so critical, since my Chinese is pretty darn crappy as well. Ahem.

Yay for more new books! What'd you get? (How much did it set you back, LOL!) I'll be buying that series tomorrow, anyway, when I hit Kino, so can share. If you like, you can buy next time. :D

What's the name of the series anyway? And yesh, I'll prob borrow off you.

I keep looking this up and not remembering the author's name. I am fail. Good thing you made me do it again so I can track the books down tomorrow. It's the Gemma Doyle trilogy (informal name) by Libba Bray.
