This was wonderful. And played on the exact thing I loved about this episode; the fact that House truly doesn't know how to deal with Cuddy when she's not yelling at him, but is instead truly disappointed. So this was such a lovely read, with a lovely ending. I was glad to see them back on track again.

I'm really really glad this worked for you - much as I loved the first two awesomely cute scenes we got in 4x03 between House and Cuddy, the last brief scene just ripped me up inside. And I knew we weren't going to get anything on the show that REALLY addressed Cuddy's feelings about House dying on her AGAIN, so had to do a little work of my own there... ;) The lack of Angry!Cuddy was interesting to write, mostly because her default mode with House is almost always with the yelling (which they both get off on, but what happens when they don't argue anymore?).

Thanks much for the comment!

This was good, during that last scene with Cuddy she just seemed truly disgusted and disappointed in House. I can't remember the last time I saw her like that. Anyway, good fic.

I'm glad you liked - and if I were Cuddy, I'd certainly be disgusted and disappointed with both House and myself, for putting up with him for so long. Glad that came through in this one. Thanks for reading!

Loved this story. I do so enjoy it when House knows he's not in Cuddy's good graces, and can't wait to make it right again. Good job!

Yes! Another Angry!Cuddy post-97 Seconds fic! Love these. And yours is excellent. That one little scene from Cuddy at the end of was just enough to tell us everything about her and you played off it quite well.

I love fics that have Cuddy at her limit, about to give up on House. I've always wondered how far he will go before he does push it to the breaking point. My favorite part was the part where she tells him she's done with him (I totally cheered her on) and the part where she asks him how many times he's going to let her watch him die on her (and my heart broke here). Beautiful.

Oh, argh, you know, I'm so awful for forgetting but I was going to post feedback on YOUR post-97 Seconds fic. Give me, like, ten minutes to do that. Your story partly inspired mine, I must admit, but I forgot to comment to that effect when I got all excited with the writing. *rolls eyes at myself*

In other news, I'm glad this worked for you - I wonder, too, how much strength this one woman must have to deal with House ALL THE TIME and yet never give up on him. Because she's a tenacious pitbull, as we've already seen, but surely even pitbulls get tired??

Thanks so much for reading. And, BTW, awesome icon, man. I love that scene from 4x02 in a million ways. My favourite of the season so far.

I got your reply and I'm gonna go reply there in a sec!

And DUDE! I think the OR scene in 4x02 was my absolutely FAVORITE House/Cuddy scene of the series. Just. Gorgeous.

And really, you're a fantastic writer. I am honored to have inspired you.

I'll head over to reply there in a sec too. But dude, clearly we share a brain. The OR scene completely BLEW MY MIND. I loved it to an insane insane degree.

And awww, you affirm me so. Thank you, seriously. I'm just glad that we're BOTH inspired by the OTPness that is House and Cuddy, heh.

Friends? :)

*sigh* I would have wanted this to happen on the show or something because I believe this is how Cuddy truly felt. Therefore, I absolutely adore this line: "How many more times do you want me to watch you die, House?"

I love angst fics that involve where Cuddy can't take it anymore because of House. How much will he push before she breaks?

A truly beautiful piece. :)

You're such a sweetheart for commenting twice, Shika. Hee. And I'm glad you liked - clearly I needed to get a little angst out of my system, since I don't think TPTB are going to bother showing the emotional aftermath for Cuddy on the show. (Hello, that whole perjury thing? GONE, just like that!)

Thanks for the double comments, hon!

Your welcome! *hugs*

I can't even tell you how devastated I was when they just threw the perjury thing away! I mean - how much Cuddy character development could have come out of that?! ARGH. Most of the time, the writers are brilliant, but sometimes I just wanna bash them on the back of their heads with House's cane in frustration!

They've dropped a lot of balls with the House/Cuddy dynamic that they could have picked up, which is SUCH a no-no, seriously. Because HL and LE would totally rock at playing some of the really emotional, angsty stuff. (Hello, Finding Judas?! PROOF POSITIVE.) I just hope they don't forget all that wonderful shippy momentum they picked up for these two characters at the end of Season 3. Please, David Shore, please??
