I met Emily a few times. Ran spotlight for some of the shows she did down here at one of the theatres I frequently work at. She did this awesome production of Witches of Eastwick and then did a fun little cabaret for Christmas this year with two other women. She's fun, by the way. ;)

I love how your trip keeps getting better and better for you! =D AND HOUSE! OMG, CAN'T WAIT!

SWEET. You met her?! I am a big hyper ball of FLAIL right now, and it boggles my mind that you've met her. She really sounds like such a funny, sweet person from her concert recordings. (I mean, like, that's ALL I know about her, ha ha.) It's nice to know she's still working regularly, because her resume on IBDB is SO sparse. I just know she's been doing some concerts with Alice, but that's about it.

I'm really LOVING how the stars are aligning for this trip too. Getting to see Skipley - possibly singing songs from Evita and Sweeney Todd!! - would pretty much make my LIFE.

HOUSE. FIVE DAYS TO GO. OMG.

What did you see at Town Hall when you went?

The show should be great. Common thought is Emily and Alice will do '"Pretty Women" but really, who knows. Odds are they'll do something together...but those shows are always a toss up. Should be amazing no matter what. (I've heard a few other possibilities as of yet unannounced...we'll see what happens.)

Since I can't tell if you really know what Broadway By The Year shows are like, BBTY includes a ton of performers...the last one had 16. They all do different songs, some solo, some in groups. But it is NOT just Alice and Emily. Just so you understand going in. It is NOT Alice and Emily alone. They won't even do the majority of the songs. The most anyone had at the last one was 4 (counting solos and group numbers). Out of a two act show.

Alice and Emily are both super mega nice. :) Much love for both of them.

Hi there! :) You're a real sweetheart for popping by and educating me about BBTY and all the Skipley goodness - I'm a relatively new fan to all this, so any pointers are totally appreciated. ;) Have you heard other possibilities about the show that night? Awesome! Any chance of sharing? I won't treat it as gospel truth, no worries there. ;)

I'd really REALLY love it if they sang Pretty Women live. It's one of my favourites from their albums!! :)

And BBTY > I know enough about it through Julia Murney's frequent performances at these shows, no worries. I know they won't get starring roles per se, but hey, four songs or so is good enough by me. I just can't believe I'll get to see them live, however few songs they perform! And I can't wait to see the rest of the line-up too! ♥

Will you be going?

I'm SUCH a new fan of Alice and Emily, I haven't even started reading up about them yet. I'm SO glad to hear they're mega nice! :):) Have you met them both?

You're welcome! :) I have heard Beth Leavel...we'll see.

Yeah. I've had my ticket for a while...but it was still rear balcony. It's not bad...I've sat there before.

I have met them both. Alice...15 times now? Something like that. And Emily a couple of times. I'm on my way to Nashville, but if you want to friend me, I'll add you when I get there and you can read about it. (Tags = Alice, Emily, Alice and Emily, and Next to Normal.)

Beth Leavel, awesome! I love her in The Drowsy Chaperone! It'd be fab if she were there. ♥

I'll be rear balcony too. Row K. :( Perhaps we'll meet each other there! I guess they must have sold out the orchestra before opening it up to the public or something??

Oh, I'd LOVE to friend another fan of the Skipley goodness! :) Long as you can stand a LOT of Julia Murney flail. ;) I need to be educated, will read all the tags when you're in Nashville! :) All I know right now is their albums, and I listened to Side Show for the first time today and LOVED it. ♥ I've got Next To Normal and I've listened to the first act. Shall pay closer attention next time.
