gotta believe it's getting better... (yeah right)

1. I wasn't going to post today but ah, whatever. You can't keep me away for long. Again, I am mildly horrified at my retarded ability to just... bounce back from soul-crushing amounts of work. Honestly I was just about snapped in two yesterday; rewriting an entire draft because, IDK, my subordinates just weren't THINKING hard enough or something, ( Read more... )

Zits suck.

I got TONS in high school, and about halfway through last year, they started to clear up. Now I only get tons based on seasons and hormones :/ So I know where you're coming from.

I honestly shouldn't bitch as I really DO tend to get one big one every six months or so and then my skin stays perfectly clear for the rest of the time. But it's still annoying! And really quite monstrous this time. D:

Mine must be due to stress and poor dietary habits. I'm PRETTY SURE OF THAT, ACTUALLY.

1. soul-crushing. I think that is the best description that you've come up with yet. Which is saying something.

2. Black sesame ice cream? That sounds . . . interesting.

ALSO, wholly unrelated: there is going to be a Marvelous Wonderettes sequel. For some reason, this half makes me want to sob and half makes me want to flail. I'm not sure which reaction will win in the long run.

1. LOL, I have a way with words, what can I say. This is apparently why they employ me. *weeps*

2. Oh it's YUMMY. SO YUMMY. See. Mine didn't come with the fancy stuff, but eek. Favouritest ice cream flavour ever.

WONDERETTES FLAIL IS NEVER UNRELATED IN MY LJ, FYI. And I was saying this to someone else who pointed it out - I'm pretty sure this is a restaging. They've done Winter Wonderettes out in LA before, based on this ad. Roger Bean seems to be a mite obsessed with his Wonderettes girls: Bets has apparently been playing various incarnations of Suzy for NINE YEARS or some such. I'd KILL to see the winter version with the current off-Broadway cast though. I think it would be HILARIOUS AMOUNTS OF AWESOME.

5. I have a zit on my cheek. A BIG ONE. I disapprove. :( I get one every six months or so, something like that, and it's ANNOYING, urgh. I guess I should be glad they don't pop up more often. Still, I'd rather they didn't pop up at all. :P

I feel your pain -- literally -- right now. Just wait until you're my age and you get acne, gray hair and wrinkles. NOT FAIR! There should be some kind of trade off.

Argh, isn't it annoying? Currently the zit is so big it's purple and huge and OBVIOUS. *weeps* I'm with you on that - there MUST be some benefits to getting older, one of which, surely, is LESS HORMONAL INSANITY. Sigh.

I have had bad skin my whole life except for a miraculous period in my 20's where it cleared up. It's going to be way worse once the weather heats up. It's frustrating because I don't want to do something like take Accutane (which was such a disgusting experience) but I hate being my age and worrying about.. pimples. It's just ridiculous.

I'm not really a fan of scallops, but your meal sounds very good. Glad to hear you have stuff coming up to look forward to. Speaking of, t minus.. hmm.. 30 hours or so until I'll have something cool to share with you?

I agree wholeheartedly. I will NOT bitch because, skin-wise, I have led a charmed life. But I still think that the one thing we shouldn't have to worry about, what with advancing age and all, is PIMPLES. Fail.

You don't like scallops? D: OMG. But but. Raw. Sweet. YUMMY. ;)

I'm EXCITED for what you have to share! I'd... completely forgotten that this was THE WEEKEND. Try not to get hit by wild tumbleweed...

In an effort (by NYC) to bring you back over to the City SOONER (aka by the styles of Oklahomans) as opposed to later...

I just saw your post about it! MAN. As if I weren't already planning to go back. This just gives me... a definite set of dates around which I should be planning. XD I've just realised it means I can be in NYC for my birthday again. *cries* How amazing would that be, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. ;)

You're GOING, right. YOU MUST.

Yes there are dates now.

June is still a bit far off for me to ponder with any degree of seriousness. Especially with the tanking economy and other precarious craziness. If worker bees die faster, then I feel a bit like a drowning polar bear.

I'll pen the dates in and hope that I can be there during the latter part of the run (July maybe?)

*hums off-tune* Happy Birthday to you. :)

I am excited for it. I won't plan anything for a while yet, probably, to see what other shows come up and whether it WOULD make sense for me to plan a June/July trip. It'd be incredible though. Although... July = SO HOT. *weeps*
