This was hilarious, and very clever =) I loved it. Can't really say which bit I loved the most, 'cause there's too much of it, but especially Delgado!Master's voice was brilliant.
Though, I've got to say this was the absolute truth (being a post-graduate student myself):

"I'd say they stem from a deep-rooted sense of boredom."

"Yes, Theta Sigma, you and every other soul ever to pass through the hallowed halls of higher learning."

I love academia, underneath it all, but dear God is it an easy target. And thank you!

Still love it. :D Would you mind if I linked this from my master list, next to the original?

Certainly not, I'd be flattered! (I have reason to think, by the way, that you'll be getting a better, proper remix in addition to this tidbit. ;) )

I just cultivate that bit so I can write poetry.

Hah! So at least it can be said that there was a reason for all the emo in his first double-digit regeneration --- it all just came back to him in his dotage!

Very fun! Thanks for sharing it (I got here from best_enemies, for your info).

I like to imagine One having to hide his old poetry journals from Susan to spare himself endless mockery. And thank you!

The man gestured with a gloved hand. "Have a seat, my dear Theta. I brought a couch in especially for you. I always decorate for the occasion."

Theta looked, then looked again. "Is that from Earth? That's my favorite planet," he blurted.

The therapist made a fairly indescribable face. "I know."

"You've done your research, then. Do you pay this much disturbing attention to detail for everyone?"

I could ask this about you! Your story pings off so many of my favourite facets of the Doctor, the Master, and Doctor/Master. I love your dry wit; as in Ginger and Free (the best Turlough story I know), it's snarky yet still shows clear affection for the characters even -- no especially -- when they're wankers.

You need an outlet. I, for example, like to write fiction about friends and adversaries who battle exhilaratingly, coming together in heated-but never mind that

I would so read that.

Aww, thank you very much! I admit it: I love the wankers best. It might not be fair, but it's definitely true.

I would so read that.

Read it? I thought we'd been watching it for the past 40 years.
