I think there's too much unresolved between Charles, Eloise, Daniel and Desmond to just let Daniel die...and with all this talk of variables, I'm willing to bet this isn't the last we see of Daniel.

Although I'm often wrong, so we'll see. It's been an hour and a half, and I already miss Dan making the logic of time travel seem easy :(

And I know you're trying to separate yourself from being emotionally attached Lost, but character deaths always manage to pull people back in. I'm actually proud of you for managing to hone it all in and compose a polite letter.

I think I was just pretty sure Daniel was safe, so I am more shocked than anything else.

I am still clinging to the fact that this is not permanent because something is going to happen that will probbaly mean the freighties never went to the island. I hope!
