You would probably find she packs a bit more attitude than you're used to because of being a mare and being arabian ( partly ) and because she can. It would also be a lot of work to get her moving correctly - you can see the way she raises her neck and drops her shoulder in those ridden shots and the muscling on the underside of her neck suggests that is her typical way of going. It's not uncommon, but you would need to spend a lot of time getting her to drop her head and to lift her shoulder. Nothing beyond you, but certainly work to do there.
Two horses feels like way more work and of course it's twice as expensive to get holiday cover and so on if you want to go away. Not to mention insurance and everything that goes with it.
The two questions to ask are: Do I want another horse? If yes, do I want this horse?
If the answer is yes to both, then you're probably making the right decision. As ever with loans, horses and life in general, get everything in writing...

Thanks for the input though, very helpful stuff to consider! Have realised my little dude is plenty for me at the moment, and I don't really want to work on other horses much.
