This Chex Mix recipe is called "the real original" because it is supposedly from the recipe taken directly off the back of a 1950s Chex cereal box. i absolutely love Chex Mix. my mother would make it for the holidays and for parties. she would also substitute mixed nuts for the peanuts.

it is one of those snacks i can't stop from eating until the bowl is empty. sadly. the hips don't need that.

the Puppy Chow sounds like it would have the same "can't stop eating this... nom, nom, nom" effect.

IT IS SO GOOD. i'm bringing it into my office tomorrow, so i won't be eating it ALL, but, uh yeah, i'll probably eat a lot of it. mmmmmmmmmmm.

Ohhh, I love Chex mix & I'm a junkie for what you're calling "puppy chow" (we called it Muddy Buddies, because that's what the Chex box called it, AND I am repulsed by pet food. We did always make it with Crispix though.)

Now I'm having a huuuuge craving. How far away are you from LA again?!!?

I've also been having cravings for Rice Krispies Treats too. I guess I just need to buy some big ass boxes of cereal and go to town. ;)

oh god, Chex Mix is like crack to me!!!! the sweet version is good too, but I can't eat as much. The salty kind I can eat all through the holidays until the salt swells me up like a balloon! oh delicious delicious!!!!

yes, yes indeed. i managed to contain the snacking last night, but i figure it's ON through the weekend. i, uh, made a double batch of chex mix. hahahahaha. totally unintentionally of course.

thank you for the cute card, btw!! it's hanging with the others, looking cheery and festive. i love december for the festiveness!
