I'm reading a book called Wild, by Cheryl Strayed. It's about a young woman who decides to hike the Pacific Crest Trail on her own. (The PCT is the West Coast version of the Appalachian Trail...it goes from the Mexican border to the top of Washington, and people really do hike the whole thing
