But in all seriousness (and because I didn't really give a proper review): this fill has something special in it, much like Duet did. I appreciated that somehow Germany had come to accept himself in some fashion. I think you did a good job at acknowledging how complicated his own view of himself is and how some of his kinks complicate that even further.

And Italy was so fabulous, as he is wont to be. He's a fabulous lover because he makes this simple, as your summary suggests. I only hope to be like him one day. :3

Italy was hard to write here, since my impulse is to write him Happy! Silly! Clueless! like he is in canon, so I'm glad he came off well-- far cry from Sex!Talk!Italy, right? Then again, this *does* take place forty or fifty years later, and taking his unification as the time when non!chibitalia Italy starts to exist, that makes him nearly twice the age he was. But since the Germany is not the same at all, it doesn't matter too much.

I'm glad you liked the GerIta <3. I also tend to think it has so much more potential than it usually lives up to!

...I happen to agree about Italy's strong points vs Germany's, but then again, we met on the kink meme, so we can hardly be surprised that we have that in common xD.

Great fic. I admit that I've read several of your others and I've been too shy to comment before, but... Well. This warranted a comment.

I am a big fan of a sexually experienced, toppy Italy. It's my own head canon, I guess--and it's not something that I find all too often.

So, yeah. Great stuff! I'm going to watch your fics now, in the hopes that I'll get to see more. ...I don't know if you have any idea how embarrassing it is for me to comment on explicit yaoi, but... I'm trying. (And I'm managing to mostly not blush?)

No, I totally understand. I actually felt the same way for a really long time... like, about five years. It took me that long to get comfortable enough with both sex and nerdy stuff-- and my own sexuality and nerdiness-- that I could even have a public persona.

...and now about 75% of what I write is porn. Um. The wheel turns?

Anyway, I'm really glad you commented! Embarrassingly enough, reviews always give me the warm fluffies. And I hope you find other stuff here that you like <3.
