I'm glad you enjoyed it. ellakiteFebruary 1 2013, 03:57:52 UTC
To be honest, I wasn't enthused about writing this piece, as I feel nothing truly gets resolved... but it was the only story idea I could come up with which fit the prompt to any degree. So it was either this or nothing... and I didn't want to throw in the towel so early.
Wow. I'm flattered beyond words, as I felt this piece was a long way from my best effort. So if I survive this week, I'll put serious thought into continuing the tale when I get an appropriate prompt.
I admit that I'm a sucker for comic fantasy. I do really think there's great potential here; I love that plucky Corey and I look forward to the quest for the King's new mate.
What do you mean by "copy and paste"? I've heard the phrase, but am not quite sure what it means... ;)
In all seriousness I meant to include a line in the piece which indicated that the "name " I was using in the tale was merely the dragon's nickname, which is far shorter than his full name and would normally only be used by his closest, most intimate friends and relations. His full name is so long that it would take several minutes to pronounce it fully... and his full title in the Draconian Court would take several hours to recite. With lifespans of multiple millennia and razor-sharp minds, dragons will take the time to be extraordinarily precise when it comes to who they are and what they've accomplished....
