I'm familiar with the cardiac merry-go-round, between Michael's experience in 2000 [which turned out to be acid reflux and GERD] and my own incident in 2006 [whch highlighted an anamoly I already knew about, but for which I'm still rather thankful to alexjay.
Pay attention, but don't obsess. [I know, easier said than done.]
You may also recall that brief bout of tachycardia I had about 10 years ago. The doctors ran every test they could think of, and never did come up with a formal diagnosis for the cause. However, at that time I was under enormous physical and emotional stress: I had broken my foot 2 weeks earlier, my brother Ted was about to go into a nursing home, it was the height of the Xmas Season (which always made me very unsettled back then, plus the bad weather made it harder for me to get around with my broken foot)... and the morning of the incident I discovered that my TV set had blown its picture tube right after its extended warranty had expired
