I tried to make various posts in the last few days, but I kept deleting them before completion. I feel an enormous amount of personal dissatisfaction... coupled with a lingering sense of impending doom. I remember a tiny fragment of a dream I had last night; I was on a "walking tour" of NYC, visiting old Mafia haunts. The one thing I remember clearly is the guide telling the tour group about how a mob boss put out a contract on one of his lieutenants, but the target dropped dead of a heart attack in his own home just before the hit man showed up ( Read more... )

Several times in the last week or so, I would sit down to write an introspective post, but stop writing a sentence or two into it and say/think "No, that's not right", delete what I had written and give up.
