Tatooine Lucy, all tanned and bleach-blond from the sun, and then a theoretical ESB Lucy who's finally a pilot now after proving herself to the rebels... because that is what'll happen, right? Somehow? She'll go back and still be the hero?
Though actually, The Adventures of Lucy and Han, Space Pirates would be a really cool AU.
Man, up until this point the story was fun but mostly predictable, following the main events with just character interactions being different. It really threw me for a loop that she left with Han, even though it makes total sense in this situation for her to do so.

Like your commenter, I especially like ESB!Lucy -- her hair and more commanding expression and everything. She looks older. And yes, she's entirely consistent with canon (though she never gets promoted so high).
I am deeply tempted by the Space Pirates AU, gah. But no, must get her to Bespin.
Thanks about the twist, btw! I was a little frustrated that so little changed -- there were those altered dynamics, but the plot and even the dialogue was very nearly identical because there's no reason for it to change, and then I was asquee over plot change. I'm really glad it seems natural, even if it isn't as significant as the later one.
