Just for the record, I think that illegal immigrants should have the same access to government-sponsored healthcare as everyone else, if they pay the taxes that are due. If they are living at poverty level, they don't owe any taxes.

Today I schlepped my harp up to the Bronx to perform on the Waterpod (http://www.thewaterpod.org). Lentil pate

I finally got the proportions right. This makes enough for one sandwich:

1/2 cup cooked or canned lentils
1 tsp olive oil
3 large walnut halves
1/2 tsp soy sauce
garlic, basil, parsley, lemon juice to taste - it tastes good without any of these

Blend in food processor.

Governor's Island

I went to Governor's Island again yesterday. A friend and I met at the (free) ferry. He had his bike, and I took advantage of the 1-hour free bikes when I got there.
