I'm not feeling very sociable, but I want to get out of the house tonight.

Shall I go to:

- a science fiction reading at the South Street Seaport?

- English Country Dancing?

- a feng shui workshop?

- something else entirely?

What would you do?

This morning, as I ran in Central Park, I was thinking about the force of landing on each leg. How does it change with the following variables: speed, height of the step, length of the stride, which part of my foot lands, whether I use my toes, etc?

People who make appointments and don't show up, with no phone call or email to cancel, are the scum of the earth.

Dear LJ Friends, who know everything,

When I turn my computer off and unplug it, it forgets what time and day it is. When I leave it plugged in, it remembers. This has been going on for a few months. How can I tell it to remember the time?
