Maybe Someday. Not Quite a Christmas Carol. 1/3

Look I wrote something! It's taken forever, and part 3 will probably not be done until Easter, but there you go. This isn't really a sequel to 'Maybe Someday', just a little sort of extra story that's been sat in my head almost since I got the idea for the original story, and set a few months later. I hope you like. ::crosses fingers::

This can be ( Read more... )

my fic, maybe someday, not quite a christmas carol

I loved reading this from Riley's perspective because the befuddlement is just so profound. Sort of the way one might feel if dropped into a situation like that.

And yay, there'll be more! =)

To be honest I was worried he was *too* befuddled, but then how could he not be? The story popped into my head almost fully formed and I've been wanting to write it for SO long. :)

Spike held out his hand with a wide grin on his face and shook Sam’s hand enthusiastically. “I’ve never met you before, but I can say with absolute certainty that he doesn’t deserve you!” You know, I bet that really is what he would say.
SPIKE
Full-time Champion and
Saviour of the World.
If you wish to contact Spike
make a suitable offering to Illyria,
God-King of the Primordium.
Alternatively contact Buffy Summers,
The Watcher’s Council, Rome.
That really is the perfect business card and if there ever should be a Spike movie I think that's what Spike should have in his wallet.
Riley's complete befuddlement is exactly what I would think happen should he come across them again. The last he had heard was that "Assface" was getting out the chip and then came Sunnydale go boom. I can't imagine that he would ever consider Spike and Buffy to be a couple.

Oh I'm so glad you said that - it just wrote itself. :)

And that business card was what started this little fic in the first place, if I remember correctly... the scene with Spike handing over this card and Riley going 'Huh?' playing in my head. My brain is a funny thing!

And how much do I love those icons? Must upload more...

Love the business card! A goat? Might be enough. Would a giant squid be a good sacrifice or a terribly bad one?

Very glad that you liked. And I'm not quite sure about the giant squid... finding one in the first place would probably be the biggest problem. *g*

But he's so tall and manly - what's not to love? (How much do I adore this icon? ::happy sigh::)

Thanks for reading and commenting. :)

Love what you did with Johnson *g*. Usually I say "poor Angel" in one of your stories, this time I think I'm going to be saying "poor Riley" and that really doesn't come naturally to me!

Well I'm glad you made me do it, because I'd been intending to and then just sort of forgot.

Save the 'poor Riley' for part 3! ;)
