Look I wrote something! It's taken forever, and part 3 will probably not be done until Easter, but there you go. This isn't really a sequel to 'Maybe Someday', just a little sort of extra story that's been sat in my head almost since I got the idea for the original story, and set a few months later. I love how your mind works! And even more I love that you read something of mine. :) I'm actually hoping to get some time to read over the holidays - what would you recommend of your own stuff?

(And all of 'Play It Again, Sam' is about taking the sting out of 'As You Were'. Well, sort of! *g*)

Very cute! I really enjoyed Sam in this one. In As You Were she was such a Mary Sue;; it's nice to see her devolped a little bit. I actually always felt badly for her. It would be tough living up to the memory of Buffy; and Riley clearly hadn't completely moved on!

Also love Spike being fawned over by the baby-slayers. You know he'd pretend to hate it, but secretly be eating it up.

I know a lot of people disliked Sam in AYW, but after writing her myself in my first fic, I'm rather fond of her. Also this fic: Miss Perfect is very helpful. It's AYW from Sam's And Buffy's POV. It sticks very much with the 'Spike was The Doctor' line and some of Buffy's bits make me cringe, but overall it's very interesting.

And I don't think being popular ever gets old. ;)

It's so nice to have this from Riley's pov. For example, I just loved the way he described Buffy, with mixture of admiration and a kind of longing.
The strange insecurity and worry had vanished - she looked prettier and more self assured than he’d seen for a long time before he left...
Just lovely.
And heeeeeeeeeee! Spike's entrance is JUST PERFECT! :) I just feel so good for him. He's finally got his cool back. Nice addition of all the Slayers too. And yay the Slayers fuss over Spike and Angel. ;)
And Spike's business card? Priceless!
Looking forward to see where this goes - even if I have to wait til Easter! :)
