Claire can definitely be stubborn when she wants to be, and just as obtuse as Jack can be sometimes too. They're defintiely similar! I do hope that their relationship will be revealed to the both of them soon; I have a feeling that a big part of the reason that Charlie was done away with was so that sibling relationship could come into play. Having two male caretakers in Claire's life would have been redundant and Charlie being jealous of Claire's brother would have made Charlie severely unlikable.

Anyway, I digress.

What a splendid Queenly/Birthday gift!

Something that I've noticed in discussions surrounding this prompt is that superstitions are often heirlooms, beliefs that pass through the generations. I love that you took that idea and wove it into the Shephard family. There's such a great sense of colesing family here - a tendency to see-saw between dancing around one another and plowing directly into each other's lives. I love how Jack and Claire are so emotionally complex here and how, despite their own patterns and concerns over attachments, they are open to compromises. And I simply adore Aaron. :)

Thank you, birthday girl! :) I'm happy that you liked my little offering. :) Claire always struck me as the type to be superstitious, regarding how heavily she was into psychics and birth signs/charts and stuff, whereas Jack is about as superstitions are nonsense as you can get. Having the two of them in a situation like this was fun. :)

I like Jack - Claire sibling fics too and I hope the truth comes out too. I was just saying to Lou above, I think it will. I think in terms of the bigger story arc, Charlie's death will help clear the way for Jack to step in that role of partner in raising Aaron now. If he found out about his relationship with Claire this season, I wouldn't be surprised. *fingers crossed*
