Musings

Taking a brief break from my entries on the Clan (I'll get around to covering Hudson and Bronx later, and possibly some others too, no worries), I've found myself dwelling on other thoughts.

One of the questions I've been asked the most often is, "Don't you miss being human?"  Matt's asked me, Derek and Maggie have asked me, my parents have asked me ( Read more... )

"That's very interesting to think about, Elisa. I suppose your long aquaintance prevented the sort of crisis of 'lost humanity' some might have had; general feelings of 'Dear Lord, what am I?' and concern for the state of one's soul and such."

"You're definitely right there, Jack. If this had someone happened all on its own, without knowing the guys... I'd have taken to it a lot less well."

That, my dear Elisa, is a very well thought out and happy musing. I'm glad you've found a plave in the world, and I can understand what it's like to give up one life for a new one when circumstances change.

"I suppose it is at that, Ephram. And I'm quite glad as well. What happened to you, if you don't mind my asking?"

It's difficult to explain without going into a lot of background about my world. I hope you don't mind a history lesson. In some worlds, I've learned, my universe is only a movie trilogy, but since it hasn't been released in your timeline yet, I can't really reference that. So ( ... )

"Jalapena."

"That's just amazing. And yeah, I'd call that a pretty major turning point."

Big Bad Kakyoin: 1. I'll bring pictures next time.
2. That's gotta be rough...Have you tried just being in a bed when the sun came up?
3. Some stones are better left unturned. You've got no idea what they think about the whole Gargoyle situation.
4. Just get a convertible! Or a bike? You can use bikes, right? Have Lex build you one. Also, you could probably find somebody in the Nexus who could fix your jacket up.
5. You just leave that to me, Elisa. *BBKakyoin gives Elisa a wry wink.* I have a dream!

Oh GOD! The mental images, they burn! I can shut my eyes, but they won't go away!

"Pictures? I appreciate the thought, but I don't really think that'd do it justice.

Suppose I could, but it wouldn't really be the same thing.

Won't know until I try. Better to try and fail, than to never do and never know.

Cars'd still be awkward, even with a convertable. But a bike might be nice. And I really should try finding one or getting a new one made sometime.

...I'd say you need a hobby, but I think this must be it.

Aaaaw. Did I break your poor brain?"

Big Bad Kakyoin: I'll get one of those million kilowatt spotlights, then. We can have a false dawn in New York every night.

It'd give new meaning to the phrase 'sleep like a rock'.

Sheesh, you're nuts, you know that? There's absolutely no talking you out of anything, is there?

I'll send a resume into the Hell's Angels, I'm sure they'll be thrilled. It can't be hard. I mean, you could probably get somebody in New York to do it, just get a human to ask the tailor.

Someone's gotta look out for you guys. *BBKakyoin winks at Elisa in a winning fashion.*

Please, Elisa, have mercy! Don't tell me about the toys!

Elisa laughs at the suggestion. "Er... Well, it's the thought that counts."

"Yeah. And create a hell of a mess. You want to be the one picking stone chips out of the mattress?"

"Hey, stubborness is one of my finer traits."

"Probably could, yeah."

She smiles. "We do appreciate the little things you've been doing."

"Not that it'd be too hard. Can't take much to break a brain that small."

"Well, I for one am really glad you've taken to this so well."

((Didn't notice the post! *headdesk*))

((Aaaaw, 's okay. Here, you can headdesk on a pillow, at least.))

"That makes two of us, Faye. It's had its bumps, but it's been a pretty good road to follow."
