Gah!!! I just got a call from the after school care letting me know Elizabeth wasn't feeling well, has a headache, clutching her tummy, throat hurts,..... Last time I got a call like this I went to pick her up because of the same thing and she had her head near a basket just in case. We left and she was fine. The previous weekend Elizabeth had her second guitar recital. She played a piece which required her to pick at the guitar. She did such a great job but she was very nervous. It was only her 2nd recital with the guitar and this time Ken, her teacher, didn't sit with her on stage. Last year he was with her. I am proud of her.

This weekend was the Girl Scout's 100th Birthday Celebration. I took Elizabeth and Mary to Winston Salem for the birthday bash. It was colder than I expected so we were pretty cold when waiting in line outside. Games2U were doing Hamster Ball rides which are pretty cool. Second week of summer Elizabeth went to Camp Weaver for Horse Riding camp. Camp Weaver seems like so much fun, I want to go. They have a zip line, a lake with a bunch of fun stuff (zip line, huge inflated slide, big inflated blob, inflated iceberg you can climb, floating trampoline), a pool, arts & crafts, a big sports arena, archery.... Summer 2010
Today is Elizabeth's first day of 3rd grade and Gavin's first day of 1st grade. It is the end of the first summer I spent as a stay at home mom. We had so much fun, I barely had time to blog all about it!!! The kids have been great and I hope they have as many wonderful memories from this summer as I have ( Read more... ) -
California cont...the wedding...
Wedding Day.... Gavin asked to drive with Joe and his girlfriend, Marcy drove with Tom & Sue so it was just Elizabeth with me on the drive to the wedding. I knew we were running a bit late. We stopped to get an outfit for Tommy in town and to get a few other items. I think we made it just before Elizabeth couldn't take the turns anymore. :-) ( Read more... )
