So I honestly didn't get THAT upset when Olivia died on the show, cause I knew that ultimately it wouldn't matter, but reading this is nearly making me tear up. Can't wait for more!
I got really upset when Olivia died on the show LOL! She's by far my forever favorite, and even if it now happened in a timeline that doesn't exist, I felt crushed for days when thinking about it! So I needed more than what we saw on the show.
The next part is posted and it's less sad LOL! Thank you so much for reading :-)
I'd accidentally spoiled myself and knew she was gonna die (though I'd known for like a month, so until the second-to-last episode I had no idea how it was all gonna play out), so the death itself somehow wasn't upsetting... But I did get emotional when Peter broke down, and at the funeral. (Though I think somehow Walter and Ella's conversation about Gene got to me the most... O_o)
GAH. Love this. Even though it's totally heartwrenching.
Love this entire part here:
She has seen death, and even though it should be the other way around, she's trying to protect him.
Damn Dunhams, always so fierce.
But he doesn't listen of course. No one in this dying universe can keep him away from her. This just screams PETER to me. Frustrated at those Damn Dunhams who always think of others first, always thinks of protecting others before themselves...even more frustrated because it's the quality he many times loves the most about them -- about her -- too
( ... )
THANK YOU!!! I wrote most of this part at 2am and I was positively drenching my keyboard lol.
I remember after the episode aired, people were saying they would have "loved" to see Peter's reaction and Peter seeing her dead body (which is kind of reassuring, to know I'm not the only one who love watching heartbreaking scenes), so this scene came to me, and then I thought about "A New Day in the Old Town" and it was horribly perfect in my head. I JUST NEED TO HUG HIM.

when he still foolishly believed that he could be one and not half of a whole
This is my favorite line. I JUST LOVE IT TO PIECES.
I swear, I'll soon go back to times when she's actually not dead. Stick with me, okay?
I'm hanging in there, baby.
