Ourkeyboard is dying. Spacebar sticking.A lot.

Grrr.

Note to self: No,cannot rinse out keyboard. If the kids have managed to insert juice behind the keys, there'sreally not much I can do about it except replace board.

It depends on the type of keyboard. It's happened to me a few times (my speeshul keyboard is over 10 years old) and I can open it, wipe everything clean, even wash what is not electric.

It really depends on the type of the keyboard. I can not vote that this will work for you, may be it will come out worse than before; but if you think that keybord is ruined, then it is safe at least try.

My Logitech suffered few times from coffee with sugar and tea with honey; so I put it under rather hot stream of water, then put on the heater/radiator, hold it for some 24 - 36 hours, and - voila! - it works again.

Unplug. Hot water. Hair dryer. Let sit for about a week in dry room. Then give it a try.

I have both cats and kids. It's an occupational hazard. *grins*

Yes you can, if you unplug it. It's not electronic once it's not connected to a power source, it's a dirty piece of plastic. Clean it up and let it dry THOROUGHLY...like for 2 days....and then you will be able to plug it back in and it should work....and for lllazlllong above...you're a lucky sonova...sugar is conductive...you coulda fried yourself. Glad you didn't.

"sugar is conductive...you coulda fried yourself"

Yes, I know that it is conductive.
Still, it wasn't as if I continued using the keyboard, once I get my coffee on it.

Sometimes you can pop off the letters and clean the sticky stuff off with a Q-tip and alcohol.
