Ourkeyboard is dying. Spacebar sticking.A lot.

Grrr.

Note to self: No,cannot rinse out keyboard. If the kids have managed to insert juice behind the keys, there'sreally not much I can do about it except replace board.

Can totes rinse off keyboard. In fact, you can run keyboard through a dishwasher. Just let it dry and voila! Lemon fresh non-sticky computer!

Oops--should have read comments before posting my own. In this case, I guess I second the dishwasher thing. (:

Alcohol solutions can work, too, and dry faster.

My laptop keyboard is being obnoxious - I have to hit the spacebar in the center, where the actual plunger is, to make a space. Hitting off to the side results in no keystroke.

Sure you can. I find it better to disassemble the keyboard and just wash the rubber bouncy bit and gently wipe down the plastic sheets with the conducty parts, but it's definitely possible.

I've heard of doing crazy shit like running it through a dishwasher but I wouldn't want to try it. ^_-

My buddies Dan and Jay told me you can actually stick the thing in your dishwasher, and it will be fine as long as you properly and completely let it dry out for about a week. (Jay says he has done this.)

I guess it wouldn't hurt, since you need to buy a new one anyway... (:
