My Singer was like $100 bucks, it's not the most fabulous machine but it works. Most of what we have at school are Janomes that I think were a few hundred each.
I could probably do um, something artsyish. If'n it's icons the whole process takes a bit longer than normal icon making but I like making animated ones. The only requirement I have with those is it has to be from something I have.
Here's some of what I've got sitting around waiting for me to get a paid account, made all but one with screencaps I took.
