Gah! That is a VERY long time for net access to be down.

And I am sorry about your job... I wish you the best in maintaining it or finding something better.

May I ask where you live? (What country - I know you said you aren't in the US)

Time will tell. Many of my jobs have been periodical (which is why I usually refer to my _current_ job).

As for where I am, I live in the Land of the Thousand Lakes. That is, _Finland_.

(Some of my countrymen have faced some agrimony in some net forums when they have revealed that. I am not quite sure why.)

I can't imagine why anyone would take offense at one being from Finland! I assure you that I do not. ;-)

Thanks for sharing that with me - sometimes I worry I am asking too personal of a question when I ask things like that.

I spoke with couple of blokes who had some unpleasant encounters. They said they had been in forums that were concerned with (IIRC) computers and tennis. Some of the other parties had began to hurl off-topic political abuse when they said where they came from. Inappropriate behavior in my opinion.

As for too personal questions; I can always state that "I'd rather not talk/write about it" or something like that if something gets too close.
