Okay I swear I haven't gone back to the elementary school classics but I was wondering if any one had ever stopped to consider exactly how many 'mysteries' the dear girl got her nose involved in and just how long it would have taken her to do this, using the timelines given by the books. My God, look at Murder She Wrote...Jessica Fletcher was intimatly involved in hundreds of murders, and the authorities never seemed to suspect her. But then again who would ever suspect an 800 year old woman who moonlights as a tea-pot for being a murderer.

Good point. I think I was also wondering at how people or specifically charadters don't seem to age across the course of their series or at least not at the same pace as the rest of the world. Yes things like 7th heaven and stupid teen sitcoms do age but sponge bob and stewie don't.
