Just another rant about the same old same old

I am finding that life does not seem to have a 'sparkle' anymore. I am having trouble getting up in the morning..or afternoon. I am having trouble finding a reason to shower, to put makeup on, to get dressed. Im having trouble with even wanting to do anything at all. I guess a doctor would call this depression, but im not sad. I dont really ( Read more... )

When you talk about thinking about things i know the feeling I like to think about almost everything, colors, smells, the way people make facial expressions to tree limbs blowing in the wind. sometimes Its' for analyzing sometimes I am just making mental pictures cause i hate taking things for granted. a lot of people take things granted these days like walking. they "just do it" with out thinking like robots ( ... )

In part at least, it's called being married and domestic. If the immediate future has little in the way of surprises or change (hence "same old"), and no hobbies or career that you are passionate about, it's easy to get complacent.

Not that unusual, though you are probably still irregular to a degree; we've discussed this before. Solution? Doing something with your life arrangement to make it
interesting or have something to look forward to on a regular basis. You get to figure that part out, though I would suggest physically removing yourself from the demotivating environment (i.e. your house) more often, which you are already doing cognitively via reading.

You don't sound depressed, just bored... find something new that you can get excited about!

You don't have to feel sad to be depressed. It it's most emotionaly removed manifistation it can simply be lack of activity simillar to sickness behavior. Is it depression? Perhaps, we've all been there, unfortunately some experience it more than allows typical stability.

I have a real problem with motivation. I'll be ok for months then all of a sudden I'll be lazy enough to set myself back.

There is a positive correlation between depression and intelligence. Sometimes I think it's because smart people are too inquisitive to leave well enough alone. Asking too many questions they are not satisfied with the simple answers, assumtions, and omissions of attention that are comfort to so many people.

Physics? Yesh... Did you read about the Geneva Supercollider and it's experiement to uncover Higgs Bosons as the cause of momentum... Masse Effect here we come... hehe.

I just watche LOTR because the satelite dish broke, yay 15 hours of good movies. I'm reading the Foundation seriise by Asimov.
