very very exciting news. I just got a dictation program that types out everything I say. It's not perfect, but it's about as fast as typing myself and I am no longer hurting my wrists. Something that amuses me: seeing someone who's removed the dust jacket from their "low-taste" book in public in an effort to make us believe they are smarter than they are. In addition to all the rest of the speech, which was fabulous and will undoubtedly be endlessly discussed, I'd like to mention how very happy I was when Obama mentioned non-believers as one of the groups of Americans. I don't think that's ever happened before that I've heard. I felt all happy and included. Yay for the atheists.

I just heard Arvo Part's Cantus In Memorium Benjamin Britten on an episode of Numb3rs. All I could think was, "I played that bell part!"

I'm really proud of myself because I was having trouble remembering what to say when someone calls my phone (doesn't happen much) so I wrote up what I should say and pinned it to the cork board right over my desk.
