I love One though (not the way I love Three, but you know ;-)).
He's so awesome, especially the more First Doctor stories you watch. (I really, really want The Romans out on DVD soon. And The Chase. And Planet of Giants.) *giggles*
And Ian & Barbara are absolutely my favourite companion team.
As for what next... hm. I adored The Web Planet but I'm weird like that. I gather most people don't... it's so marvellous though! Such a pretty fairytale. I do think it needs to be viewed as a stage play and not as an exciting TV adventure though. And it's really not to everyone's taste, even I can admit that. So if I were you, I'd take my ramblings about it with extreme caution. ;-)

Noted :-). I'm quite curious though - I think I will watch it soon (I seem not to have it here at the apartment ... meh. Wish I had a Tardis to nip home and get it *sigh*).

You know, that's one of the things that I really like about the earlier stories (once I got used to the different stile) - it's much more like theatre, and you get a lot more interaction actually on screen. It also mean that you occasionally have dialogue fluffs, but they don't bother me (and they are occasionally funny).
A lot of the stories have some really experimental and innovative things in them, despite the small budget. I remember liked the way Skaro looked in The Daleks, or bits of The Mind Robber (still haven't finished that one though, shame on me). And the Zarbi look ... interesting :-)
And that icon is soo cute ... to cute to be true ...

She's Kribu. :-D You should look at my random November pictures thread in my Lounge... there's a few new ultra-cute Kribu pics there. I don't know how she does it, but it's enough for her just to... exist, somewhere, and she's the cutest thing ever.

I love weird :-) I think it'll be The Edge of Destruction in any case, since I just realized that I left The Web Planet at home. Living in two places 50/50 isn't always easy on my brain ;-)
BTW - I love your icon :-D

Yay! I love The Edge of Destruction, I was thinking the other day that it's probably one of my favorites of the serials I've seen. I think they should do another episode like it, except showing even MORE of the TARDIS. :D
And to your original post:
The beginning of the first episode: the "don't dump boddies in the water" sign, and then the robomen just wandering into the water - chilling.
Wasn't it just? I used to have an icon of that "Do not dump bodies" sign. I should dig it up again, heh.

Oh, I second that. I usually like budget saving bottle shows like this onem when the focus is on the various relationships and emotional stuff.
