question about The Amazing Race (no spoilers)

I've gotten sucked into The Amazing Race, if only because it's a reality show I not only would be willing to do, but would totally rock at. I missed most of the season, but caught the last few weeks, which leads me to this question ( Read more... )

I noticed that too, but I attributed that to it only being the next day. Remember they left at 7 am the following day, and if they hadn't been able to locate their passports it would take a bit to get the emergency passes for it.

If I were Dallas, I would have kicked the cameraman's ass for not at least pointing to the cab and saying, "Psst, passport!"

I figured it was more of a timing thing than anything else. Though I still think it wouldn't take long for the producers to get a hold of them from the cab/driver, even if the money went missing.

Are you kidding? The cameraman probably got a nice little bonus check for not saying anything. I bet Starr kicked his ass, too, though.

I haven't watched the episode yet, but I almost expected at the end of the lost passport episode, for Phil to hand them their bag with the money and passports. I would love an update on what happened to them! And this has long been one of my favorite shows- less a "reality" show than a game, and therefore less back-biting and plotting. It's always good, season after season. =)

I like this one too because it does take smarts and skills, although a bad taxi driver can screw you. I don't like those personality-dependent reality shows like Big Brother or whatever where it's all arbitrary plotting, but I like ones like Project Runway or this one where they actually have to be able to DO something.

I thought Phil was going to hand them the bag, too.

There has to be some skill/brains involved in a reality show for me to watch it. I can't watch "day in the life" stuff like Real Housewives or even The Osbournes. I stopped watching Runway because I can't stand the contestants and I don't like much of their work, either.

I expected them in the finale at least, giving us viewers some sense of what happened.

I don't watch much TV on Sunday nights. Don't know why. I'm completely sucked in to Survivor, mainly because it requires some brains to do well, but that's pretty much the only reality show I'm hooked on, though I'll watch Top Chef if I catch it.
