PSA: Capitol construction

If you want to visit the state Capitol, you'd better do it this week. Starting this coming Monday (8/13) the House and Senate chambers, including the galleries, will be closed (until further notice) for construction. Or something. Yes! That would be hilarious!

Nobody outside of Atlanta cares a whit about Grady, even if it is the flagship trauma center in the state. Calling a special session for "an Atlanta problem" would be a PR disaster for the Gov, especially down below the Gnat Line, probably even in the 770 doughnut. Look how much trouble all the trauma funding bills had this past session.

The Gnat Line separates South Georgia from North Georgia. An imaginary line from Columbus to Macon to Augusta, though the rural areas north of those cities may as well be below the Gnat Line, too.
