L&O on SciFi

It's official: Law and Order has now been on every channel ever to exist.

There's an episode of L&O: Special Victims Unit on SciFi Channel right now.

I'm sure there's a connection somehow.

scifi, tv, l&o

Four of them, but I only watched three (Survivor was on). The last one had one of the guys from Lost; the one that died last season. Hm... he raped his brother on L&O and had sex with his sister on Lost. I'm sensing type casting here.

The others were serial killer episodes. One was a woman who stole a baby and had sex with violent men so she could kill them; don't remember the other one.

The connection: Someone got a big fat check.

I so wish SciFi were better. Captain Oz and I were talking a few weeks ago about how it seems like we should be watching that channel all the time, based on its mission. Instead, it's always crap-ass C-grade movies that bore me within minutes. And now this?

Yes, I watch BSG, but that's it.

Yeah, aren't SciFi and NBC both owned by GE?

I haven't quite given up on SciFi just yet. I watch Doctor Who and BSG. I sometimes watch the mediocre Stargate shows, but only until BSG/Who comes on. Now that it's baseball season, I don't bother with SG at all.

This new movie they've come up with looks plain awful. I can hear the pitch now: It's the robot monster from The Incredibles meets Doc Ock from Spidey 2! Yeah, that'll be great!

Rudi and I watch Ghost Hunters on there, but I never got sucked into much of anything else. Though I caught an episode of Dr.Who after Ghost Hunters one night, and that was pretty good.

I remember I watched SciFi pretty regularly at one point in my life, but I don't remember why. I know Mom watched it for the Twilight Zone and Dark Shadows reruns.
