Sometime between last night and this morning, Phoenix had changed his clothes. He probably shouldn't have been moving around, but he'd been restless, preoccupied with memories, and getting dressed had been something to do.

Unfortunately, whoever picked the clothes in this room was taller and had a slightly larger build. Oh well. He liked a loose style of shirts, and the pants could be made to work with a belt. Changing had not been comfortable, and he winced at the thought of doing it again. He was glad to lay back down in the bed.

He was dozing when Lily knocked, but the sound jolted him awake. Immediately he tried to sit up. Not a good idea, Phoenix.

"Ow. Lily?"

"Yeah, hey." Lily smiles and kicks the door shut behind her. She almost drops the tray, but quick steps forward and balances it again. Way to go, Lily, you've officially passed your training to be a waitress. She's wearing jeans and a t-shirt (vintage, with Dolly Parton on it!), Phoenix, so there's not much to ogle.

"Brought'cha breakfast. Hungry?"

He took the odd style of clothing in anyway, and if Lily thought he couldn't the view when she was wearing clothes like that, she was sorely underestimating the teenage elf.

"Oh. Thank you, yes." And much to his embarrassment, his stomach chimed in with a growl. He smiled sheepishly as he adjusted his position on the bed. "Please, sit down. You can set the tray on my lap."

"Really? That won't hurt or anything?" Because Phoenix was a mess of blood and organs last time she saw him. But if he says so, it shall be done. Lily (carefully) climbs on the bed beside him (carefully) and (carefully) sets the tray on his lap (CAREFULLY). When he doesn't wail in pain, Lily stops being careful and tucks her legs beneath her.

"How you feeling?"
