Okay. Lily feels bad about, you know, carrying an almost-grown man up 2 flights of stairs and across a deck. But it's not like she'd just leave him bleeding to death in front of Camp Carnival of all places. Either way, she feels like she did something wrong, and she's felt that way ever since she picked him up like he was wearing a fluffy wedding dress and she a fucking tuxedo.
That's a lame simile, but it works.
So anyway, armed with a stolen keycard (because there's no way in hell Phoenix would be able to open his door from his bed, and look, she's Lily) and a tray piled high with waffles, two omelettes, five cupcakes (3 for her, 2 for him) and a pitcher of orange juice, Lily knocks on Phoenix's door. She balances the tray precariously on one hand. It's not the weight that makes it difficult, it's the placement of food on it.
"Phoenix," she calls. Then, without waiting for a reply, she jams Phoenix's keycard in the lock and opens the door.
Really, did you expect Lily Worth to be courteous?
